Pink and more pink!

I'm really in the pink mode just lately. We recently found out that our daughter and her husband's forthcoming baby is a girl. So now everything I'm looking at or planning to make is pink. I've already made a baby blanket in pinks and peaches, but now I'm looking into my stash of knitting patterns and books to see what else I can find.

I've been a collector, ( hubby would say hoarder) of a multitude of craft materials and books since I was at school, which was a long time ago! The vintage knitting patterns which I have are simply beautiful, some are over fifty years old. The materials are no longer available as the companies which made them no longer exist, so it's going to be trial and error with modern yarns if I go down that route.

I'm also trying to put together some fabrics for a patchwork baby quilt. I have all the fabrics, I just have to decide on which to choose. The ones in the picture are a few of my favourites.

This will be our third grandchild, and it's just as exciting as if it was going to be the first. The oldest has now started school and his little sister is almost almost eight months old. How quickly the time flies.

One thing is for sure, I shall have to get cracking if I want to get all these projects finished by the time baby arrives at the end of June!

Have a good weekend,

Linda
